Invisible Gases

text only: I wanted to be all right with dying. Before, I tried not to think about it. I refused faith in any institution or the afterlife because seeking comfort is the last defense. Comfort, I thought, was flimsier than acceptance and more effortful than ignorance. After all, death is a fact.
