The God of Parking Demands Receipts

by Miles Klee

The god of parking is far and away the most important god, for their purview, while narrow, is vastly consequential.

The god of parking decides whether or not you will be forced to parallel park in front of a well-dressed couple eating brunch on the sidewalk who whisper critiques of your form. Maybe you deserve this.

The god of parking may create a juxtaposition of street signs that leaves you to wonder if anyone is ever allowed to park, there or anywhere else.

The god of parking is ignorant of time. That’s your problem.
