Yesterday a Swiss hacktivist named maia arson crimew posted an extraordinary roster of 113 notables whose names had been imperfectly secured on the website for Dialog, a private invitation-only network founded by Peter Thiel in 2006; the list was verifiable through a copy preserved on the Wayback Machine. This news tore all over Bluesky at lightning speeds. According to an Axios post about the group from last year, Dialog “has quietly become one of the most elite, and mysterious, gatherings for CEOs, elected officials, and intellectual heavyweights.”

It is not quite clear as of the time of writing exactly what the list represents—it could turn out to be a list of past attendees, or some other kind of list, but it did come from the Dialog website. In any case, the eye-popping group of billionaires, centrist columnists and self-help writers, far-right and libertarian cranks, current holders of high government office, and Bret “Bedbug” Stephens—who appear, possibly, to be willingly 1) hanging out, 2) with each other—includes:
