At this point, I think it’s mostly over. But for around a month, I was engaged in a disquieting sociological exercise, checking up on the socials of this fellow who was sending me threatening text messages every day.
I am a journalist and activist, so I have viewed it as inevitable that one day I’d attract some kind of harassment or threats. Well, there’s a first time for everything. In retrospect, I think I should count myself fortunate that this first harasser did not go about it in a very intelligent way. Someday, it may be a state-level actor who comes after me. But today, it’s just some crazy person on the internet, who somehow got hold of my phone number.
