Toward a Quantitative Assessment Into the Best Day of 2024
by Amy Chu
Abstract
As 2024 comes to a close, and we look back on another constructed frame of time, we are encouraged to begin 2025 with a reflection of our highs and lows from the previous year.
This research study examines the definite correlation between the day of the year and treasured memories. The Principal Investigator (PI)1 employs a quantitative methodology to analyze anecdotal interview data.
Existing research offers insight into this question of a good time. In 2021, The New York Times asked students a similar query, “What was the best day of your year?’ On March 13, Connor L. from Hoggard High School wrote,
The best day of my year is march 10 this year I got to go see scream 6 which was amazing and then I went to this place called buffalo wild wings and I got the most hottest wings and it was really hot. I also went back home and played the new season of fortnite and it was cool I like the new battle pass and the map also the weapons it was just so much fun.
However, this study doesn’t give a hoot about Connor’s best day (though it does sound like an awesome day.)
