FLAMING HYDRA is going to be compellingly fun to read, but itâs far more than that. We are veterans of the many alt-weeklies, newspapers, magazines, and blogs that were torn from our culture by predatory owners, and by the commercial and political enemies of the free press.
We know that there is strength in numbers, and we are banding together to work directly in our own common interests, and in our readers' interests, free from any potential interference from advertisers, owners or investors.
FLAMING HYDRA is for the freedom of all kinds of people who like to read and write what we want, and to connect in an unmediated way, with no weirdo surveillance or profiteeringâlike the old internet used to be.
Last month, 947 Kickstarter backers pledged $40,942 to help bring Flaming Hydra to life. If you missed it but would still like to subscribe before we launch, you can do that here.
Within the next few days, early subscribers will get access to our PRE-IGNITION PAGE, a subscriber-only preview page on flaminghydra.com with downloads, jokes, bewitching photos and drawings and news from our 60 GREAT writers and artists!
Tell your friends, tell your mom, tell everyone on the train. It's going to be good, and a fiery blast.
